How We Helped Homeowners in Howell Enhance their Kitchen
There’s nothing wrong with loving your kitchen cabinet and floor colors, but wishing the space was just a bit bigger! This was the case in our recent kitchen remodel in Howell, NJ where we helped add 200 square feet of kitchen space in our client’s home – without an addition. We worked with the existing footprint and used the original dining room space to make room for a larger island, reading nook, and plenty of open working space.
Demoing the Old to Make Way for the New
Prior to the kitchen remodel, this family dwelled in a tight kitchen footprint, which included a small kitchen island and one small window over the sink.
After the typical demo to remove the old cabinets, we busted through the existing dining room walls to incorporate that space into the new kitchen setup.
Maintained Design Style in a New, Larger Kitchen Space
Just 12 weeks later, the remodel was complete.
This kitchen remodel and expansion allowed the client to incorporate both a double oven setup on the far wall and a range top with stainless steel hood on the exterior wall.
There is now a seamless flow from the original floors to the additional flooring added in the new space. We were able to lace in floorboards from the wall removal without a trace of the original footprint.
The larger island now holds the microwave, plenty of base cabinet storage and a beverage cooler.
