For this recent Robbinsville, NJ kitchen remodel, Rasinski Construction was brought in to build custom bookshelves in the adjoining living room space, update the kitchen layout, and increase light exposure by opening rooms and installing expert electrical work. This transformational kitchen remodel was completed on time in less than 2 months.

This home was originally built in 1995 and included 90s home staples, like a small kitchen island, honey cabinets, and a lack of living room storage.

Expert framers were brought in to add a new support beam for a larger dining room opening and to create a new framed area for the counter depth fridge.

This work helped create a better flow between the dining room and kitchen, with a flush, custom look.

The tiny, seat-less island has been upgraded to a larger one to accommodate 4 stools, a lower microwave for the kids to access, plenty of storage, including additional cabinets under the seating, and even 2 secret toe kick drawers!

The homeowners requested a solution to help define the living room to kitchen opening. We created custom column and trim work around this transitional space on both sides of the half wall.

Since the living room is connecting to this kitchen space, we also updated this adjacent space with matching custom built-in cabinets and bookshelves around a remodeled fireplace area.

Dark walnut edge up countertops and a matching mantle were added to give more warmth to this new storage space.
