Upon purchasing this 5000+ square foot home in Colts Neck, New Jersey, these homeowners loved the open floor plan and heights in the great room, but were not a fan of the dated tiled flooring and molding styles throughout this space. Rasinski Construction was brought in as their dependable home contractor to complete a first-floor remodel to modernize this space with more storage, efficient lighting systems and an updated aesthetic.

The kitchen truly is the heart of the home and now this Colts Neck home has a remodeled kitchen with high-end appliances to accompany their modern style. Under cabinet and in-cabinet lighting were also added to this space. There are now no backsplash outlets for a cleaner look.

To increase the efficiency in this space, new storage cabinets were added to the mud room and living room spaces. A new bar area was added to the open living room space to allow for another entertainment zone in the home.

Built-in cabinetry was added to the living room, complete with a walnut countertop to add more warmth to the space. All colors, window treatments, furniture, accessories and trimwork seen throughout the home, including the style completed in this space, were done by House to Home Interiors.

An expert electrician was brought in to update the lighting throughout this home. LED recess lights were installed in every room, including replacing all receptacles and switches.

The original flooring on this home included a mix of dated tile flooring in the hallways and entrance areas and bright old carpet in other rooms. Rasinski Construction removed these dated flooring styles and replaced them with new pre-finished engineered hardwood flooring throughout.

While this home did have picture frame molding on many of the open wall spaces, a new paint job was needed in these areas for a modern look. We also built up all the column surrounds with wider casings on all the windows/doors and added taller base trim.
